  1. Hi all, just after a bit of advice... Bought a 750 slingshot "Street fighter"acouple of years ago and quickly found out that it had a 750 slabby engine and CDI fitted... Wasn't too bothered as it went well enough other than a knackered clutch which I replaced and was good fun for 12 months.... Anyway long story short the slabby lump smokes it's bag off and is long overdue a rebuild, the 750 slabby flatslide carbs are a pain in the arse and I thought the easiest fix was to buy a blandit 12 lump which I have just done... Which brings me to cdi's, I can't use a bandit 12 one as I'm led to believe the plug is different, reading on here told me that I could use an 1100 CDI as the rev limit would be right and it uses the same plug as my 1988 750 slingshot loom...but.... My 750 slabby CDI that I already have has a lower rev limit than the later 750's so couldn't I just use that? Would it be compatible with the bandit 12 lump? Or would I have to swap pickups etc, I want to just bolt the engine in and find a set of suitable carbs really, don't really fancy chopping the loom about at this stage.. Sorry it's a long winded post but thanks for looking in any case
  2. These replys are giving me some hope now, just out of interest are 750 exhaust ports the same spacing as all the other size oil boilers? Planning to make my own plenum and have someone else weld it all together as will use ally sheet but would rather try and source an exhaust manifold thats already made for the job as dont really have the tooling available to bend steel tube about etc.
  3. Cheers bud, that is exactly the info i was looking for, stock block, 6psi and didnt go bang lol
  4. Hi all, Not long aquired a 89 750 slingshot with a 750 slabby engine fitted and have a t25 lying around, so the cogs have started wurring so to speak lol I have had a good read through the forum and the net and cant seem to find anyone thats put the 2 together. Any particular reason why not? I know a blandit 12 lump is preffered due to having lower compression and more displacement but i was under the impression you could turbo pretty much anything provided you kept the boost at a sensible level and fueling was spot on... Anyways you get the idea, is it doomed from the off or is there a chance i could make it work provided i kept the boost low (was thinking 6psi ish) Cheers Tom
