It starts with that stupid plastic wedge on needle wearing, that leads to needle tilting and rubbing on emulsion tube....
-
Stick a drill bit in tube so you can see if they are oval... usually splutters and farts at low revs if oval...

Using the 750 cdi on the 1100 was the tried and tested way to destroy the motor......

if you are revving a gsxr 11m/n motor to the point of shims coming out, there was something wrong with it the first place..

Mine has standard cams, bandit pistons, mild porting and a mild skim, some fcr 39s and dyno said 150 ish horses.....
-
My 2p worth. The m/n heads are the best flowing heads of the oil cooled family (according to Rogers flow bench). So why not get it skimmed a bit and add the yosh stage 1 cams... Much safer than a smaller chamber that a piston might kiss........(has happened) Then you can bore barrels for bandit or busa pistons for a cheap big bore.....
-
It was a yamaha tap with 8mm feed instead of 6mm..... fz 750 if i remember right..... close to hole centres too.
-
Best is accent, but not cheap...... boyer do one too.
-
Other way round.....I would bet some money on that one.......
-
My old 1127 with ported head, bore, etc has fcr 39s on for about 12 years now. The limiting factor was not the carbs, it was having a fuel tap big enough to feed them at high revs.......
