  1. Im still thinking about buying that Kat lol
  2. I bought a brand new set of rubbers a little while ago and found they did fit on opposite sides pretty well...one thing i did notice though was the rubber started developing fine cracks along the centre which didn't fill me with confidence so I ended up buying some old ones that seemed to have changed from rubber to granite but still look tip top....the new ones I had were genuine Suzuki too!!...and knocking on £90
  3. Sheep

    Oil pump

Done the swap on my EFE...no probs were encountered.
  4. Made these for my 1230 EFE but changed them last year for more conventional 4 into 2 and I must admit the new ones are better for low down as Gixer1460 says but the side swept version did look good
  5. Do you mean float levels mate ?
  6. How are the plates fixed to the tank??....Looking at mine they seem to be spot welded on. It may seem slightly drastic but you could drill out the spot welds on the plate and then you could get to the hole behind it and weld it permanently obviously making sure the localised area is protected from heat. Then you could weld the plate back on top.Using TIG would keep heat down to a minimum and create no harmful spatter. It's a permanent fix but not without it's risks.
  7. If this is the case it doesn't matter how new the plugs are,I have found from experience plugs do not like wet ends and have a few NGK's in a box to prove it after having issues with a sticky float needle..
  8. We like pictures on 'ere....of Suzuki's of course
  9. I believe mine are M8x45mm long if I remember correctly...I use bolts rather than studs so not sure on the length of those...
  10. Second that....just stick it on a pallet, give Parcelforce (or someone) a bell and let Chris work his magic....Job done...You wont regret it.
  11. Could number two be getting too much fuel as opposed to not enough?..I know you said it wasn't wet but a sooty plug would mean it's either rich or misfiring perhaps...My 1230 on rs's had the same issue once and turns out the fuel was a little rich on one cylinder and causing the plug to soot up,not a lot but enough to stop the spark in the chamber.
  12. Upon reading the title I thought you had met my ex missus..!!!
  13. To be fair seeing standard wheels on an EFE looks rather refreshing......maybe it's the sun getting to me
  14. When its running have you checked the downpipe on number two to see if its warm/hot??...I once had this issue, thought it was lack of fuel, but when I revved the motor the downpipe got hot..feckin hot lol...The mixture on the cylinder was fuelling incorrectly at idle but came good further up the range...
  15. I have done powder coat/wet spray a few times but the last powder coat was a cock up due to the frame retaining some of the blasting media and the coater not shaking the frame enough to totally eliminate any excess grit...I ended up wet spraying the frame.. I do think a good wet spray using an etch primer will last longer than powder coat as powder tends to flake off if moisture gets behind it.Plus you tend to get a better, deeper look imo, powder tends to be a little plastic-like if you get what I mean!! Mind you you need to find a wet sprayer who is good at what he does to ensure a good job.. Having said that certain powder companies use some really trick colours/effects and your choice is much bigger nowadays. Check these out...Maldon Shot Blasting and Powdercoating

  18. GSXR K1 forks fit easy enough unless you are after RWU forks!!
  19. Typo I think there Paul...it says 'before'..I think you mean 'and'.....;)
  20. You too Paul....hopefully next time you will be on the Supercharged GS
  21. Do you mean the throttle assembly itself moves around on the bar as in the whole thing, grip and tube...if so then that need sorting too as that will not help when fitting/adjusting cables.
  22. Didn't sound too bad once it started to be honest.
  23. Seen one on Fleabay in the US a while ago but it's the only one I have ever seen....one that isn't home made that is.
