How to test reg rec?

Hi guys,  bit of an odd oss air cooled, the mighty dr350! 

So My Lithium.Iron Phosphate battery wasn't charging, oh feck I thought.  But then next day after a jump start, it did.

I dug around and replaced a ropy power source coil wire bullet connector from the magneto.  The resistance of the magneto thingies seems in speck.

But what if it's the reggy recti,  how to test it? 

It's 13v on standby and 13.6 running.

put a b12 motor in it.

13.6 at idle? If so that's pretty good!

Rev it to 3-4000 and as long as it is below say 14.7-15 Volts and not lower than the 13.6 it is good to go.
