Many years ago a friend of mine put a 1000 engine in a 750 frame without much trouble. That thing would wheelie at almost any speed as the 750 is a shorter wheelbase than the 1000. The frame handled the increase in power without any trouble.

I believe the swingarm pivot bolt is a smaller diameter on the 750 vs the 1000/1100.

GSResources would also be a good place to ask the same questions.

Fascinating xD

I'm not sure what's wrong with my bike then!

The swingarm pivot bolt is the same diameter....I've had a GSX1100 swing arm in my frame with no problems.

You're right about one thing.... the frame will handle the power, and more. My bike is plenty stable. The forks and wheels/tyres were the weak point IMO. Once I'd changed those, the handling was in another league.

OK, I thought they were a different diameter, I am not always right!

If you want modern handling then convert to Bandit 12 forks/wheels /tires and brakes then! With the gs1100 swinger the Bandit rear wheel fits, no straight in but with a friend who can do some minor machining then you are set.

Its amazing how cracks in the road don't pull the bike when on radial tires, and we have LOTS of cracks on our roads where I live.

My 1000 converted is a treat to drive with the modern running gear and the brakes are fantastic!

I want to put a different suspension what should I look for what will fit I am wanting to get these wheels off this bike and maybe the swing arm if it will fit it's a 2000 suzuki if I on the cc .also will the motor mount need to be played with or will it bolt right up I need someone to be real detailed in explaining

If someone can email me a thread or something bmwboy513@gmail.com I have a bunch of questions

Bean there done that many moons ago the original 7-10  /  7-11 conversion loads of room as 750 had kick start making the engine a little longer than the thou / 1100 ...

all the mounts line up just one on the bottom frame rail needs moving...

here's one I made earlier "pre internet  9_9 " A Lot Earlier :v

Duckndive i think I bought this exact bike 10+ years ago with plans on learning to ride LOL. Glad I ran out of money before restoring it fully and had a couple experienced riders tell me how horrible that idea was. I bought it in Southern Indiana but it looks exactly like it. 4 into 1 exhaust, possible engine boreing, duel piston brakes with sand caked in them everywhere. Used to be sparkley blue I'm guessing but I found some red paint somewhere too. Even if it isn't, its awesome seeing a picture of such a rare bike from then. Down to the shade of yellow! I hope you see this!
