Swirl's Harris

Had a think about fitting the seat & if I move it back a little bit it fits the tank fairly good. Chopped the original seat fastening lugs of the sub frame. Also cut some material from the seat unit to let the seat go further back. I then made a cross piece with notches in, to replace the sub frame lugs. Drilled some 6mm holes in it to fasten it to the sub frame. Stuck some neporin to the front of the seat to fill the small gaps. Srill need to make some thing to fasten the seat at the front but am pleased with it for now.

Didn' have a stem for the Harris yokes no standard ones I have come across would have fitted. Rather than make a lot of work for Sam thought I would ring Harris Performance. Phoned them spoke to Mark & Nigel both very helpful they had them on the shelf. Got it today, stem for harris super bike adjustable yokes. Looks to me with this stem you could fit these to just about any big bike. Just need to sort some bearings out to fit them now.

What are diameters of bearings needed?

Will let you know.

The stem, with the long threaded part and threaded bit for the top bearing, looks like a great idea to copy for other yokes because it can obviously be adjusted to enable the yokes to fit a variety of different headstock lengths:)

Yes.
