  1. Possible cylinder stud issues, as Reinhoud says, possibly could be overcome. Look at how many teeth are on the camdrive gear on the crankshaft for the camshafts, it could get complicated.
  2. Are the frame plugs for a GSX1100EG (unfaired EFE) common to other models? I'm missing one.
  3. It should do Wiseco's are good pistons, I've used them a few times.
  4. Ross Pistons will make you a set, other companies like J&E will want a minimum order, but Ross will make pretty much anuthing to suit your needs.
  5. Wilbers make a shock for the EFE. Ask me how I know
  6. The Triumph carbs look equally spaced between each individual carb, I'm thinking the 1200 motor runs the camshafts on the right of the engine, hence the equal spacing.
  7. I used to set mine at 108, 108, they were (i think) G3's.
  8. Agreed it is easier to fit a Slingshot wheel, but I think it woild be better modding the standard wheel
  9. I prefer the look of the standard wheels, i have a pair of J/K Slingshot wheels spare but i like the older style wheel, and they are fairly light too. One converted to a 4.5" rim is the plan its just what effect it has on gearing and ride geight with the lower profile 160 tyre
  10. So a few weeks ago on Faceache a guy (in South Africa) was offering a pair of efe standard wheels, and the rear wheel had been widened to 5.5" to accomodate a 180 section tyre. So, I know theres a few companies in the UK who widen standard wheels and it got me wondering about having a standard efe rear wheel done. I'm not bothered about a 5.5" rim, a 4.5" rim with a 160 would be my choice. But then tyre profiles comes into play, as standard its a 130/90-17, but you can fit a 140/80-17 on the standard rim, going to a 160 on a 4.5" would be either a 70 profile or a 60 section, obviously as you go to a lower profile it alters the gearing. I'm just pondering on this, any thoughts, or if someone has already done this, any info would be appreciated.
  11. I'm not bothered about going too big, a 140 rear sounds familiar to what I ran before many years ago. Is the 120 front a 120/80-16?
  12. Looking for new tyres, on the standard rims, but seems Bridgestones are the only option in standard sizing, what are others using? I seem to think ladt time I ran an efe I ran a 140 rear, but back then there was more choice, be interesting to see what others are running. Not bothered about longevity.
