  1. Well, I pulled the trigger on a nice set of 2001 down pipes. 60 bucks with shipping. Reasons: 1. More options for cans, 2. 4 into 1 for top end gain 3. Least expensive way to go about it. Untill bonus comes in 4. All aftermarket parts and cans for my bike are way to expensive for little to no gain or even looks. I've got a dynojet stage two coming in and new Airbox k&n filter along with black widow exhaust and link pipe. So as you were saying, I need a different oil pan correct so that the headers don't hit right? So just get the pan off of a b12 on Eblag should match up correct? If I'm wrong please explain a little bit more detailed sorry for being a horrible youngster.
  2. Awesome work. I wish I was able to do the stuff you are doing. Soon once I find someone to teach me and get some extra coin in my pocket. But I do have a question, what is the point of cam links (I believe that is what is pictured in the 4th picture). Also, if I wanted something worked up would you be available and of course enticement would be available haha.
  3. How much would a conversion like this be, and could this be done to a gsx1100g? (1127 motor with 36mm carbs)
  4. Well tell me the brand or link me so I can look into them. Lol. I might have to got to a muffler shop to have something bent up for me because my cans are also welded to the mid pipe which then connects to two headers rather than the heads tee'd off to a single pipe then to the can. If that makes sense how I explained it. Just need to have an adapter made. Ideas ideas ideas. Nothings ever easy lol.
  5. Perfect the only problem is gotta buy double the cans since I have 4 into 2 might be same cost either way. I do appreciate the help brother.
  6. Hey wraith I know you said going to a bandit headers would be pointless for performance upgrade right? Well I was still toying the idea of getting a set and then getting a mid pipe and exhaust aftermarket. (Keeping it inexpensive as possible) I didn't pull the trigger on other buys Would it just be in my best interest to find a full system ? And also the 4 to 1 wouldn't help on my motor or would it (after jetting with it of course). I found some good headers and good price for a 2000 b12 and price a midpipe/exhaust set up keeps me still about 250 to 350 cheaper than full aftermarket.
  7. Also b12 bandits are the 1997-2005? All bandit 1200 models correct?
  8. What do you mean by dump and oil pick up? And thanks for telling me which headers will fit that helps a lot on what to look for on the interwebs I'm definitely looking for a 4 to 2 to 1 .
  9. Figured I'm stuck with the rear wheel. There's no old spoked Suzuki shafties that could swap on to the rear?
  10. Thanks wraith much appreciated. Looks like I'm ordering some stuff for my birthday today haha.
  11. Hey wraith thanks so much for all your help I really do appreciate it, like I said in a noob so imma blow this site with questions. Well if I'm just foijng to be spending around the same amount of cash then what companies shoukd i be kooking at and with the 4-2-1 should I go with a stage 2 or stage 3 jet kit.
  12. Hey guys, another question from the noob of tropical Florida. Was wondering what exhaust systems I can use for this bike, I have k&n pod filters I'm looking at and factory pro jet kit. Want to get a good but not to expensive exhaust for it. Companies to look at and do exhausts that fit on the katana 1100 for this? I know I know I am not the most knowledgeable with this I'm sorry. Thanks guys links would be much appreciated -slim
  13. Thanks Jaydee, while I'm at it was there and exhaust system upgrade I wanna get a 4into1 system, what would be a good performance upgrade without breaking the bank? And I take it the headers that fit on gsxr11k and other 1127 motors will fit on this right?
  14. Hey wealth thanks for the information. I have seen you and swirl around on here and I appreciate the information I'm looking for cost effective way to do this if I can come across second hand 38mm. But if not I'll go the rejet and pod filters. Good places to find her kits and pod filters? Also being as this is a rarer bike to find stuff for what else could I use as reference to find parts for it, was it the pre srad gsxr1100 and the katana 1100s with this same motor? I heard this is just a gsxr1100 motor with different cams and carbs. Thanks guys.
  15. Hey guys thanks for welcoming to the forum. So I measured it unload 32 1/2" unloaded. I was hoping to really go for a inverted front end, but I might stick with the bandit ideas as you guys suggested. Cost effective and this is literally my first build and hands on experience dealing with motorcycle. So please forgive me for the noob questions and lack of knowledge. what years are the b1200 that you're referring to. And with the front end swap could I stick with same wheel if not that's fine. Just sucks as it's a shafty can't find custom shaft wheels unless you have any ideas for an older gs shaft wheel I could use. Also I saw someone do a tl1000 front end swap 2001. They had issues with the stem and said if they did it right they would have just had a stem chocked up. Again thanks guys and any pointers keep throwing them at me! And please confirm is the bearings and stem length are the same or point me where I can research and find and what to look for specifically. - Slim
