Cheers Nick, New plugs, fresh petrol and a new battery got it sorted. Old battery had enough life to turn it over but not enough to give her life!

Re rack the carbs. Surely adding bits in will lengthen the inlet and create issues? I don't know -
The irresponsive pull from standstill could be sprocket related, not sure what standard GS gearing should be, might be worth checking

A friend of mine got some inlet stubs from an american/canadian model to fit flatslides to his race bike ,they were a different size to the british model. I'll find out the details if you want. -
Bike is being built from bits and lets face it any weight saving on an EFE is a benefit!

Thanks for all the responses , gonna do some phoning tomorrow and see what prices come back.

Wanting to use a Lithium battery but was wondering what size Ah i can get away with ? Where's best place to buy? It's a Gsx 1100 efe. I'm basically trying to reduce weight. Any thought gratefully recieved. Thanks

I used a heat gun to warm the rubbers. Its an EFE so as said its a bit easier

Got a Hagon in the shed if you intrested, msg me

Not sure of ratio. It also has Teflon coated kit pistons, which you have to fit when you have kit valves. Coz the valves are flat and standard valves have a hollow face . I did gap the clearance head to piston and used thinest possible gasket.

The head that's on is a Mezz one with kit valves and springs that I got off phase one a few years back. I was just looking at further development.
