  1. Are there any of the winged hammers that race in the CRMC? I was thinking of taking my Slabby to a couple of the meetings but can't fathom the regs. I blew my 1197 motor in South Africa this year so have a couple of options. I can chuck back in my 750M motor or build a new 1197 motor. Not being a milionaire, i am probably going to go for the 750 route. How strict are the rules. I'm not aiming to cheat but have done mods to my bike that might not be eligible. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Back in the saddle for the first time since South Africa in February 2020. I was shitting myself that I would be so scared of the power of the bike after a quick test run along the road. In South Africa I was getting a lot of chatter under braking so I changed the discs and pads. That did nothing. It turned out that the bushes in the forks along with 10W oil was causing it. I have had a K-Tech race kit installed in the forks and some 5W oil which (at an eye watering £560) have transformed the front end. We were unfortunate to be subject to the current covid rules on Saturday which meant that we could only treat the day as free practice with no timing. It was to do with the amount of medical cover we could get. At least that gave everyone the time to get back in the swing of things. So Sunday morning and I qualified 4th on the grid. In both races I got a decent start and won my class by sitting behind the leading 2 supertwins ( getting a front row seat to their epic scraps) with a tidy gap to 2nd place. Well happy with that. It was great to be back.
  3. I was running a 750M full yoshi on my 750 slabby racebike with a 1052 engine. I had to use a bandit sump with the oil lines coming out the front to clear the collector.
  4. Hello and welcome. I can't tell you what the difference between a Slabby head and a '90 head but I'm sure someone will be right along to tell you.
  5. Pm me your details and I'll post it out to you. That is if I can still do that.
  6. I also have cam links but I'm waiting on the bolts arriving. They may be some time though.
  7. I have 3 dark anodised ones and 3 plain ones. £80 each if you are interested.
  8. I especially like the head cooler rail and take off. Neatens it all up and make getting the carbs on a lot easier.
  9. He was talking about giving it up and moving to the uk. All to do with the load shedding (power cuts) over there. That's why I bought all the stuff he had when I was there and put it in the crate with my bike.
  10. It is all really nice CNC stuff for oil boilers. The racing had been cancelled on the second Saturday in East London due to rain so..... I got smashed to bits and ended up buying loads of gear from one of the local guys.
  11. On a more positive note, I also got some shiny shit that I bought when I was in SA.
  12. I risked getting arrested today to fetch my Slabby back home after its epic journey. It's a bit fusty and, as such, is still in the van. I'll get it out tomorrow and give it a good clean
