  1. They are shorter and fit the stroke of the 1000. Also maybe people don’t look further than the end of their nose.
  2. Same part numbers for both 1052 and 1127.
  3. @Reinhoudthanks but I have 1 complete motor and a bottom end spare. In fact I’ll be selling stuff off soon as I need the room. When I get cranks built I use 494 rods. As strong if not stronger than 493
  4. I bought two sets when I did my crank.
  5. 1200 bandits have a big weight mounted between the coils up by the head stock as an anti vibration aid. Maybe something like that would help.
  6. Yes I’m shure. There’s a point on the end of the guide that locates in the hole on the ally piece. If not there is too much pressure from the chain when running and it will fracture the steel piece of the blade where the bolt hole is.
  7. @Reinhoudthe rear blade also locates in that too.
  8. @FJDif it is a gs1000 8v? Block it will give you roughly 1240cc @ 78mm. Imo it’s on the limit and will have very thin liners. I considered doing this but for my road bike I went with 76mm Kawasaki Pistons from Mtc. Even using gs1100efe liners I had to hand relieve the crank cases. Using any liner that is bigger on the od than a efe liner makes the block very weak and will window out into fresh air between the cylinders, with that you get oil leaks and a very unstable block with which ring life will suffer.
  9. I havnt used one as I usually go stupid big lol. Used to work at MRE and we used to do a lot of upgrades cc wise.
  10. If you are going to use an 1135 ef cylinder you can go 76mm (1198) which for reliable use is a good upgrade. Still leaves the liners with enough meat in them. MTC do a piston kit for this and it comes with a cometic mls head gasket, and use a Suzuki 1135 base gasket so keeping it all sealed up well.
  11. Gsx1100f ? Maybe. They are 275 od 6 bolt.
