  1. As far as I know timing can be set every 500 rpm . Started sorting electrics on my kitchen table today . Just realised that the "pass" button on the handlebars has it own wire instead of sharing it with the wire of high-beam . And I still have one light in the dash from low feul warning that will not be used , so I might use that to wire in a ignition map switch and a light to show in witch map I'm currently ....
  2. Alright ! Thank Thanks for the Intel . I might try that . I was thinking to keep this map as primary to get my carbs tuned en once she runs well on that I might try to play around on the second map .
  3. Also : the slabside has different coils than later model gsx-r anyone any tought about what coils are preferred ?
  4. I have bought myself an ignitech unit for my gsx1100rw engine , the people from ignitech made a promise that a stock ignition map would be loaded into the unit , still does anyone have some sort of map for me? just in case ...
  5. okay , so that sounds like good news , slabside 750 and 1100 frame are not a lot different ...
  6. hello i've been driving a slabside 750 the last year . still i'm afraid something went criticly wrong ! the engine seized and there a lot of damage , i still have a 1996 gsxr1100w complete whitout papers . at first sight it seems as that watercooled 1100 would fit my slabbie frame , anyone ever did this before or knows if an watercooled 1100 would or would not fit a slabside frame , many thanks in advance , lien
  7. she looks like "a real " walter wolf . the biggest differince between the gamma 250 and the real walter wolf are the powervalves they came only on the walter wolf . if she has powervalves i would say i'ts the real deal . if you should ever consider driving one of those keep in mind that the 2-stroke oil pump could fail every now and then biggest problem was that the filter in the oil tank could get blocked different kinds of oil could react causing a kind of grease on the bottom that blocked the filter
  8. not even when i the 750 gearbox axle ?
  9. i'ts an slabside 750 but she had the hop up kit from suzuki . so rev limiter was disabled , she has slotted cam sprockets the special pistons and the real stuf 33 mm carbu's
  10. my slabside engine did some damage after an oilpump failure now i would swap her out for an younger 1127 , still my slabside engine has all new gearbox and new barnet clutch and springs , would this fit an 1127 engine ? and would it for at first be possible to let her run on my 33mm flatsides . with proper jetting of course ... are there any other problems i might run into ?
  11. anyone knows a good cheap bike salvage that has a lot of oil cooled spares ? my slabside 750 his oilpump broke down and there is some damage inside , so i might look for an younger 1127 engine
  12. Hello does anyone know where to find an manual for the flatside mikuni carbs ? I need to set my needles . dont see how i could remove the needles to set them
  13. I recently rebuilded my slabside 750 gearbox , I was hopimhg for a simple swap , only after breaking down the 2 cranckcases I discoverdthat the second cranckcase was an 1052cc and still had the 1052cc clutch in it , also they where using 5 speed gearbox axle's with the 6 speed sprockets on it exept for one gear sow I had to puth everything on my 750 axles , problem the clutch diaphragm and pushrods the is in the gearbox axle is not the same , so does anyone know the lenghts of those rods and other parts , or at least how for my little round pushrod shoud stick out of the cranckcase on the side of the clutch cillinder sow I can puzzle my way out of it ? I'm feeling realy noob now buth I'm new to oil cooilersand did not notice the difference in cranckcases and because of that did not separate the 1052 and 750 parts ....
