Less than one month to Holland's premier streetfighter event.
OSS will be present with a larger stand and more to be seen than ever, at least 10 top bikes/projects, OSS/Dynostar.com dyno-shootout, stunt/AMA superbike/music videos, classic games etc. etc.
We will also honour our lost friend knarF who allways was there.

We lost a great friend Posted Wednesday, August 16, 2006 by Mr.7/11
With great sadness in my heart I have to inform you of the death of a great friend...

knarF was travelling around Europe with his friend Mark. After suffering a major food-allergy in Slovenia he became ill, and after being hospitalised he passed away.

knarF was one of the hardcore suzuki guys in the netherlands, allways enthusiastic, many times calling me on the phone sharing his enthusiasm and allways offering to help.
Sometimes I was sceptic about his efforts and critical as ever, but determined and full-on in everything he did he finished his 7/11 in time and kicked my ass on the dyno.
Before he went on holiday he was building a Katana which he documented on the Dutch KatanaClub website.
He knew I was too busy to pay attention to the Katanaclub, so instead of documenting his proceedings on OSS he tried to liven things up there and so helping out whereever he could. So many projects (7/11, Katana, GS1000) so little time... too little time. Allways trying to help, unparalleled enthusiasm and impressing the women with his fit appearance. My wife allways referred to him as "that hunk".

knarF, your spirit will live on on OSS!

You can post your condolences here.

Bike of the Month - August 2006 Posted Monday, August 14, 2006 by Mr.7/11
This lovely Kat is built by Classic Motorcylce Mechanics editor Rod Gibson. Rod used a lot of info from OSS while building this bike and documenting the build in the magazine. Therefore it nowadays carries the OSS flag (stickers) with pride. Built to be used and abused he's also doing the Straightliners series with it.

Fork brace materialised Posted Friday, August 11, 2006 by Mr.7/11
Materialised... I think that is the right term to use when you just upload a drawing to the internet and a couple of weeks later the product appears on your doorstep. Hats off to Mark from Manic Motorcycles who allways gets it spot on (like he did with the disc spacer), even though I provide him with the minimum of info which shows he really gets involved.
Another miracle is that Royal Mail seems to be getting their shit together as it only took three days to get the brace from the UK to Holland using the new Airsure service. Very important for people like me facing a strict deadline ;-)
Anyway have a look at the lovely brace here.

OSS turbo cloghoppers go BigCC Posted Friday, August 4, 2006 by Mr.7/11
While I was celebrating my 38th birthday a delegation of dutch blokes from the OSS Forced-induction forum went to the BigCC HorsePower Shootout.
The weather was great, as was the atmosphere as long as the wastegates kept closed. For an impression you can view the pictures here and there are also some videos downloadable from this page. As for results GJG won the drawtrough class and enzo the nitrous class.

TES Performance billet nitrous bottle clamp Posted Tuesday, August 1, 2006 by Mr.7/11
Wayne from J&W Motorcycles kindly supplied me a nitrous bottle clamp for the Katana.project made by TES Performance. I finally found the time to fit it to the bike, you can read all about it here.

Thanks zedhead! Posted Tuesday, August 1, 2006 by Mr.7/11
Thanks to zedhead (Dave Manning from SFmag) for coming over to the OSS party, taking pictures and spreading them across two full pages in the September issue of Streetfighters Magazine!
"Ask just about anyone with a modified GS, GSX or oil-cooled GSX-R what the best internet forum is for folk who are into tweaking and tuning Suzuki's older sportsbikes, and you'll get the short and succinct answer of 'OldSkool Suzuki!'
