The may/june issue of this magazine has a 10-page article on the history of the Katana, including some pictures of the ED2 prototype.
Also a lot of pages with early eighties big bikes including the Kawasaki Z1000R-S1 superbike.

Broken engine mounts Posted Tuesday, April 20, 2004 by Mr.7/11
There have been several reports of broken lower-rear engine mounts on SevenElevens with GSX-R750F/G/H frames.
I've put together a small article on how this can be repaired and/or prevented.

Naked Racing Project Posted Monday, April 19, 2004 by PerversePolisher
Wingnut had his second race meeting at Cadwell Park, UK on the 17 and 18 April.
The Saturday was somewhat disheartening with a big-end failure during the morning's session, but one engine swap later and the afternoon's session was much, much better.
Considering Wingnut had a big road accident just over a week prior to the race-weekend, you would not have known it by the way he rode. Both Sunday's races were declared "wet", but by the end of the second race, he'd managed to get into the points.
His team-mate, Matt, had a fantastic weekend as well. Securing a sixth place by the end of Sunday's second race.

Smithy in search for more power! Posted Monday, April 19, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Craig "Smithy" Smith from team pro weigh racing sent some pics of his modifications in search for 140hp.
Also we have a 1MB MPEG movie of the start of a local club race which Smithy won (probably got something to do with the oldskoolsuzuki.info sticker that's gracing the bike's rear-end scaring away the other Kiwi's ;-)
Next big race meeting on the 24th of this month, so expect a full report here not much later.

We cracked the tonne twice this month! Posted Tuesday, April 13, 2004 by Mr.7/11
All records went out the window this month as we welcomed the 1000th .infoBoard member and today we had had a record-breaking 1000 visits in one day!
I even stayed up late to witness this memorable occasion! ;-)
There were years when we got less than a hundred visits a day but in the last year things really have sky-rocketed!

There's a party going on here...

Pictures from Sheffield Posted Tuesday, April 6, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Last weekend some fellow oldskoolers met up at the Sheffield show. Judging from the reactions the show wasn't much fun but at least we had a laugh with each other.
I've collected pictures from people who've been there and you can view them here.

Read reactions to the show here.

You can also spot the finished SFmag project GSX 'Primordial Sludge' in there...

Bike of the Month - April 2004 Posted Monday, April 5, 2004 by Mr.7/11
I wanted to post some news in the month of April before introducing the next bike of the month, but here she goes...
mr_moto's GSX-R750K powered GSX750E has been a long-time favourite of mine, I especially like the tank/seat combo. I believe the bike no longer excists in the configuration shown on the pics but he promised it will be back on the road one day.
