Whassup!? Posted Saturday, March 25, 2006 by Mr.7/11
I'll tell you what's up!...
Mark from Manic Motorcyles pulled off an amazing stunt by fabricating a disc spacer to my specs while hospitalized after a terrible accident in which he lost half a lung and broke 6 ribs! He will receive the OSS purple-heart for this!
So now I'm able to fit all the stuff PP generously donated (GS500E wheel, GSX-R1000 caliper, disks 'n' pads) together.
Right now the front end is at BikePenR to properly attach the caliper to the fork leg.
At Postma Motoren there's a bunch of stuff waiting for me like a Katana screen, engine bolt kit, top yoke nut and an R1 front brake lever donated by friendly Fred.
This weekend another interesting project has started, named "Project Rat Trap". "Crosser" is going to upgrade a GSX1100 with the help and knowledge of fellow OSS members and when he's done he'll sell the bike and donate the profit towards this site as he's purely interested in the learning experience. You can follow his heroic proceedings here .
And last but not least Project Dino Racer should have ploughed itself deep into Snetterton's gravel pit by now ;-D
My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump Posted Monday, March 13, 2006 by Mr.7/11
The postman got some strange looks when he turned up at my doorstep with this "painting with a hump". In fact it's a universal undertray made by Peter Dean. Peter started making these when he was unable to find one for his GSX-R1100N. The hump is about 540x200x70mm and can be made to fit all seat units with a flat bottom. It withstood the ultimate "ParcelForce" torture test without a scratch :-) The finishing looks really good with a high-gloss finish in black or white and they are £35 or about 50 euro +P&P to fellow OSS people. Click here to e-mail Peter.

Oldskool GSX-R1000K4 Posted Monday, March 6, 2006 by Mr.7/11
Well here's something we've never seen before...
Dano grafted GSX-R1000K4 running gear and engine onto an 1100EFE.
Now does this make it an oldskool GSX-R1000 or a nuskool EFE?
