Nico Bakker "Grizzly" Posted Friday, March 28, 2003 by Mr.7/11
For people who like a Suzuki alternative to the new Kawa Z1000, Dutch frame builder Nico Bakker has developed the "Grizzly"
It's powered by a GSX-R1000 engine but I'm sure Nico will be happy to make some adjustments so that a 'Busa engine will fit.
Thanks to John for pointing us at it.

Katana chassis work continues... Posted Wednesday, March 19, 2003 by Mr.7/11
After bracing the frame I'll start working on the swingarm of my Katana. It's my own design, giving plenty adjustability and room for things like a nitrous bottle and a gel battery.
A collegue of mine visualised the design while learning a program called "SolidWorks" and this is the result. It weighs a calculated 8,8kg.

Home porting job Posted Thursday, March 13, 2003 by Mr.7/11
Last evening I started working on my Katana's intake ports, concentrating on centering the ports and removing the casting imperfections. At the rate of one port per evening I can now understand why it's so expensive to have it done.

New Sigma Sport speedo's for 2003 Posted Wednesday, March 12, 2003 by Mr.7/11
Sigma Sport have completely revamped their line of populare bicycle speedo's which work great on bikes. The bad news is there are no new features that benefit motorcylists as far as I can see (like a backlit screen for instance) and the Targa is missing from the new range. I'd suggest you try to get one while old stock lasts!
I told you so but you wouldn't listen! Posted Tuesday, March 11, 2003 by Mr.7/11
Can you believe I actually bought a spare frame to look into the problems of fitting a late-model swingarm? Well I wrote a few words on the problems you'd have to solve and the swingarm and frame are up for sale. I challenge you to make it work but don't say I didn't warn you!
If you think you know better, tell us here.
R.I.P. Barry Sheene Posted Monday, March 10, 2003 by Bral
Barry Sheene died peacefully in hospital today after a seven-month battle against cancer of the oesophagus and upper stomach.
The 52-year-old 1976 and 1977 world 500 champion leaves wife Stephanie and teenage children Sidonie and Freddie.
I remember that, when I was a kid, we always used those large lids from mayonaise-buckets as numberplates on our little bycicles.
Mine was always fitted with number 7, why?, because the great Barry also had this number.
In those days we lived only 5 km from the Dutch TT-circuit in Assen and my father and me always attended the races.
I remember one occasion where Barry won the race (or became world champion, not sure, I was only 7 or 8 years old) and my dad got me a T-shirt with Barry on it.
I was so proud with it that my dad framed it for me so I could hang it over my bed, wish I could remember where it is nowadays.........
Rest in peace lads. (yes, since my father also passed away in '91)

The proper way to advertise! Posted Tuesday, March 4, 2003 by Mr.7/11
Mick Englefield from the Motorcycle Recycling Centre in London is the first guy I've met that knows how to advertise. He has sent me oil-pump gears out of a GS750 (which will provide extra oil pressure/flow for my Katana engine) in exchange for a mention on this website.
Many before him have asked me to advertise their products on our non-commercial website but they all want it for nothing. We pay for this website ourselves so if they don't at least send us one of the products they want advertised/reviewed then what do they expect?
Thanks for making me feel like a proper low-life blagging magazine journo Mick! ;-) Check out MRC's website and all the Suzuki related bits are posted in the marketplace section on the messageboard by perversepolisher.
