Clink does Mr.7/11 Posted Sunday, November 28, 2004 by Mr.7/11
During Street or Track I had the honour to talk to Clink, Feature Writer for Streetfighters magazine, about the articles he wrote about oldskool US dragbikes that inspired me to build my Katana in the same style.
Last wednesday he came over to my house to take some pictures of my SevenEleven for an upcoming feature in SFmag.

A shedload of Street or Track pictures Posted Friday, November 26, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Not wanting to keep you waiting for too long I have literally dumped all the Street or Track pictures taken by OSS members here and we're also providing shelter for Triker's artwork from Street or Track and Fighterama!

Winter has started, OSS will keep you warm Posted Thursday, November 25, 2004 by Mr.7/11
While I'm still working on the Street or Track report (the video-clips of the dyno-shootout are great!), even more work is piling up on on my harddisk. I got a CD from GJG with an update of his turbo project where pressure is building, and Smithy finally sent me an update on the progress of our favourite kiwi dino-riders Team ProWeigh "Weigh Faster".
There's also a DVD on it's way with pics of all the babes at Street or Track that'll set you boiling ;oP
Finally a story by Sean from BigCC is on it's way about the end of an era, as you may have seen on the marketplace the big Kats from BigCC are being sold and we'll give you the full background story.

Street or Track show report update #1 Posted Wednesday, November 24, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Well I've started working on the SoT report, concentrating more on the words as the pictures won't go away and are still flooding in whereas my mind...
You can read what I wrote untill my laptop ran out of juice here.
I've started with the sexiest stuff on the show (well more like hardcore porn to me ;) the Katana.project and Chantay.
Keep checking this page to know what's been updated.

Street or Track Posted Monday, November 22, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Well, Street or Track 2004 is history again and it was fan-tas-tic!
A full report is on is way, but I would like to thank all who made the show such a great success.
- Jon and Wilma for the immense effort they put in organising the show and the heartwarming hospitality towards the OSS boyz.
- Simon, Alex, Del, Nik, Veggie Dave and Clink for taking the trouble to come over from the UK.
- All the guys who showed up with their bikes to give the visitors their money's worth of oldskool bikes
- Chantay for the fun at the photoshoot, my stupid grin lasted the whole weekend ;-)
- DynoStar for hosting the Horsepower Shootout
- BikePenR, Sprintek, HEL and Fred for the last-minute additions to the Katana.project
Sorry to all I forgot to mention, promised to get back to but didn't get the chance to talk to, and not spending enough attention to the task of being a jury for the SF show... I felt like a Japanese tourist during the show, everything rushed by and the pictures will have to show what a great time we had ;-)
A complete and comprehensive report will follow but in the meantime you can discuss the show here.

Street or Track offensive joined by three new sponsors Posted Thursday, November 18, 2004 by Mr.7/11
In a last minute rush to the SoT deadline three companies have chosen to support the Katana.project

Bike Prepare and Repair is a new company just around the corner from where I live (Drunen, the Netherlands) and the owner Tinie Klerx has helped me out a great deal by finishing a lot of details on the bike. He has all the right machinery and equipment for the job and knows his way around a Suzuki.

Steve Rigby from Sprintek makes the nicest CNC stuff I've ever seen.
You can see how much effort he puts in is work by visiting his website and seeing how he rounds off all the sharp edges you normally see on CNC work. Normally I don't like CNC/Billet stuf and prefer cast items... untill I'd seen the stuff from Sprintek. Steve made a set of yokes for the Katana in a very short time and... very unique for an engineering firm... even answers e-mails! ;-)

Simon Lane from HEL kindly donated an oil cooler kit for the Katana.
We've had some troubles with orders from HEL via a guy from the .infoBoard in the past but as soon as Simon heard about the complaints he jumped in and solved everything in no-time.

Thanks to all for their support, let the party begin after what will be a frantic assembly session before Street or Track! And no, the project won't be finished but surely delicious to watch :-)

The Wheelie School Posted Thursday, November 11, 2004 by PerversePolisher
We've got another great day out organised for OldSkoolSUZUKI.info site members. Paul Gower (one Streetfighters Magazine's stunt riders) has kindly agreed a special price for you all to be in with a chance to learn to act like a proper hooligan.
Date has been set to Friday 18th March. Don't panic if you don't get onto the first list as a second day can be arranged if there is enough interest.
If you don't want to go with other site members and get this special discount you can always visit Paul Gower's site thewheelieschool.co.uk to arrange your own day there with him.

GS4.co.uk closing in January 2005 Posted Monday, November 8, 2004 by Mr.7/11
We're sad to hear that Taff of GS4.co.uk is closing down his website next year. However he kindly has given me permission to copy anything of interest (which is about everything).
I will try to have everything on-line before the end of the year.
Good luck to Taff and thanks for four years of full-on dedication to the Suzuki GS.
btw. Does this mean we have to hire Minxie into the staff now? ;-)

Proper (ab)use of a GS1000S! Posted Wednesday, November 3, 2004 by Mr.7/11
Mad ozzy Don "Sharpy" Sharp sent us some vids of how to properly ride a GS1000S classic. Rolling burnouts, one-handed wheelies, 230km/h fly-by's... the lot. Click here to download the vids and comment on them.

Katana.project update Posted Monday, November 1, 2004 by Mr.7/11
In the last couple of weeks we've been working hard to sort out a lot of missing details on the Katana, but now the rear end is pretty much completed. Latest additions are the struts with adjustable mounting points and the chain adjusters.

Now it's time to start praying for various bits to arrive in time for Street or Track (which is only three weeks away) like the fairing, oil-cooler, offset sprocket etc. etc. I'll also try to get my hands on a suitable rear tyre.
